Staff training addressing the psychological aspects of illness is the best way to ensure patient compliance with treatment recommendations.  Staff must know how to instruct parents in contingency management if they expect children to receive interventions as ordered.  They must also understand services available to children within the public schools if they expect patients to adequately transition from therapeutic to educational settings.
